I would recommend Wye Valley Hotel Staff were great, owners were very knowledgeable Place was good Yeswould return again. The breakfast was good. Would highly recommend this hotel. Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel to begin Offas Dyke. My room was just right with a comfortable bed, all amenities needed and cleaned every day with fresh towels. The shower pressure was not great but more than adequate. Great, quiet and relaxing place! However, they also were friendly and personable and helped us formulate our day plans with recommendations of local walks etc.
The wye valley hotel
Highly recommended! We have just returned from another fantastic weekend away. A very comfortable stay. The owners and staff were very friendly and social distancing was strictly adhered to especially in the restaurant which had Perspex screens between the tables.
Thank you x. Look forward to visiting again when we fancy a night away! We will be returning without any doubt in the Spring. Bary and Sue are lovely! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this lovely hotel. Our Chef uses fresh local produce and can cater for any special dietary needs and choices range from speciality steaks to Welsh, and international dishes.
Proper Covid precautions made us feel safe as well. A real bonus is local beer and a good wine list at pub prices. The hospitality here is second to none! Rooms are very comfy, we had a very good sleep the 2 nights we stayed.
We absolutely loved this hotel. We went for dinner in the bar and the service from Barry and Sue was excellent. The food was freshly cooked and tasty and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed. I look forward to returning again when I next visit the area. A warm greeting on arrival from Sue who gave us the keys to a fabulous room that, I must say, was spotlessly clean. Barry, Sue and Grace were all helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous, really tasty and generous sized portions. We also were impressed by the quantity and quality of food! The food is excellent as is the service.
The food cannot be faulted breakfast or dinner. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would most certainly visit again if I was in the area. Our room was lovely and comfortable with all the usual amenities. The hotel room was very comfortable and of excellent size with a well appointed bathroom.
The food was lovely, both breakfast and in the bar in the evening, the vegetarian options were delicious! The beer is also excellent: Tintern brewery gold beer. A great base for exploring the Wye Valley area. Despite Covid restrictions which are adhered to very well there is a lovely friendly atmosphere at the Hotel. The owners and staff are all very friendlh and welcoming.
Lovely hotel in a nice location. We ate at the bar in the evening. We booked a meal in the restaurant which was really tasty and well cooked plus very reasonably priced! We will return for sure! We ate in the bar too by choice. The breakfast was also fantastic and although the weather was awful and COVID restrictions were in place, we loved our stay here.
A really enjoyable two nights stay. We had a big comfortable double bed.
The Wye Valley is a paradise for walkers, birdwatchers and those simply wishing to escape the ratrace. One night I had a real beef and mushroom pie; not meat and gravy in a dish with a puff pastry top, but a real shortcrust pastry pie - no dish. Fantastic weekend at the Wye Valley Hotel.

10 fun, cool and quirky things to do in london
We have been going to the Wye Valley Hotel for many years, the staff and owners are super hosts and are always willing to help. They advised us on walks in the chat and were a great help. Always a friendly welcome, the rooms are comfortable and spotless and the food is amazing. The rooms were really warm and cosy with lots of hot water for baths after long walks. The hosts and their staff made me feel very welcome and my stay was relaxed and enjoyable. The world Famous 12th Century Tintern Abbey is only a five-minute walk away. Our stay was excellent from the lovely welcome and comfortable room.
We had a very good stay for 4 days. Lovely varied breakfast and good food throughout the day. The room was very pleasant and clean. The Wye Valley Hotel is in a great location in a beautiful part ot the country. The Hotel is situated in a wonderful part of the Wye Valley and lives up to its reputation. Very good hotel, rooms room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of hanging space and drawers.
The Wye River runs through the village less than yards from the inn. The owners have been in the business a long time and that was obvious from the efficient and professional manner in which the hotel was run. The hotel had high covid and standards and everything had implemented to make us feel safe.
Dinner was very, very good at a very fair price. We go to use the various walking trails in the area which are quite extensive. The food is very high quality and reasonably priced. The menu antigua was decent and the food wye drink excellent. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious. All of the staff without exception were really warm and friendly offering helpful advice when asked. Great 2 night stay, which would have been longer but Covid forced a curtailment.
Coming home after visiting Devon and Cornwall and stayed overnight lovely people and the hotel was lovely cant fault it would stay again. With a total of eight en-suite rooms, we pride ourselves on being able to give individual attention to our guests so that their barbuda is as relaxing and enjoyable as it can possibly be. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast the following morning was first class. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitelty stay again.
Would definitely recommend. We booked a one Monday night stay in late November whilst visiting the area as part of a 'staycation weekend'.
